Biography

Bin Liang is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, working with Prof. Kam-Fai WONG. He received a Ph.D. at Human Language Technology Lab, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) under the supervision of Prof. Ruifeng Xu. He is currently working with Prof. Yulan He, Prof. Min Yang, Prof. Erik Cambria, and Prof. Lin Gui. He has published more than 20 papers in the areas of natural language understanding, sentiment analysis and opinion mining, and multimodal sentiment analysis with top conferences and journals such as ACL, EMNLP, WWW, SIGIR, ACM MM, ACM TOIS, IEEE TAC, etc.

Research Interest

Bin's research centres on the field of natural language processing and multimodal learning, specializing in particular in developing deep learning and zero-/few-shot learning techniques for sentiment computation on textual and multimodal data. Some of his interested research topics include sentiment analysis, opinion mining, argument mining, multimodal representation learning, social media analytics, and zero-/few-shot learning. Recently, he focuses on the following research topics (but not limited to):
